Mini giant slayer
Everyone loves an underdog story, and what is more underdog than a 38 horsepower car? Well it would be that same car spanking bigger more powerful cars both on the track and on the dirt. This is the story of the Mini.
To me, the Mini isn’t that cute car that girls are driving around these days. It’s the tiny car from the 1960s that fell apart on everyone. It’s the same car that used it’s weight advantage to topple empires.
These days, people are swapping Honda motors into these cars; making them more monsters than anything. And I still love them. The folks over at the Heritage Garage do faithful restorations and also full on track cars. One of these days I’ll get one. But until I’m rich, I guess I’ll just watch them.
