Polished the turd!
Cleaned up the ol’ Ninja 300 and headed back out to Sonoma Raceway on August 10th. It was a fun day, nothing but blue skies and reasonable temperatures! After my last 100+ degree track day at Thunderhill, I am glad to have a cool one.
Last time I was at Sonoma, it was with Superbike-Coach and it was time to put some of those learnings into practice. But before I can do that, I needed to test out my new GSX-R 600 shock and boy was it bad!
After my first B+ session I came back to find the tire tearing and all scrubbed up wrong (https://photos.app.goo.gl/Cr95rgJJK3cDYdGi8). I decided I needed a little help from Dave Moss and after a quick diagnosis, set up my bike pretty darn close to what I needed. Over the course of the day, I was able to go back and get a few more adjustments which really dialed everything in.
My photos didn’t look that impressive, but I was able to take 1.5 seconds off my lap time!

UPDATE: Still over braking on corner entries, gotta trust the tires more!
